Louisville’s most popular after work concert series. For the seventh year, the Waterfront Development Corporation and Louisille Public Media are working together to offer free concerts on the Harbor Lawn featuring national and local artists. There is a cash bar and great upscale festival food. Boat docking is on a first come first served basis. Outside alcohol and glass are not permitted. Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged.

WFPK Waterfront Wednesdays take place the last Wednesday of every month, April through September. (Remaining dates: August 27 and September 24.) The Harbor Lawn is located between the boat docks at the Great Lawn and the Children's Play Area. Parking is available along River Road, the Orange Lot, and surrounding pay lots. No outside alcohol, no glass, and please, no pets. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome and boat docking is available on a first come-first served basis.

The second annual Ford Ironman Triathlon will take place on August 31, 2008. This is the worlds most famous Triathlon and it features a 2.4 mi. swim, a 112 mi. bike & a 26.2 mi. run. In 2007, the brand new Louisville event featured almost 2,000 athletes from around the world taking on a scenic course around the Greater Louisville area and finishing through one of the sport's most spectacular finishes at "Fourth Street Live," a closed off street area in the heart of Louisville's downtown.
