Get ready to freeze your philanthropic tail off as you support Special Olympics Kentucky! The Polar Bear Plunge is produced by Kentucky Law Enforcement Torch Run in order to raise funds and awareness for 
Special Olympics Kentucky. The event opens with a fun parade of costumed participants who showoff their sense of humor and unique style! After the costume parade, individuals will line up to take a brave leap into the wintry waters of the Ohio River from the swim platform on the back of River One and Louisville One.
Joining the Official Polar Bear Club is easy and open to individuals and corporate teams from the local community. Each person must raise at least $50 in order take the Plunge. There is cool Polar Bear Plunge gear that participants can earn when they raise more to support Special Olympics . Prizes include beach towels, fleece jackets, the official Plunge robe and even a chance to win a Carnival Cruise from AAA.
Admission: No charge for spectators; plungers collect pledges as part of their participation
