Louisville’s premier July 4th celebration.  The two-day festival is the largest event of the summer and also produced by Waterfront Development Corporation.  Over 150,000 people attend the event each year, which features concerts by national recording artists, children’s activities, a festival food & beer garden and fireworks over the Ohio River both nights.  Festival admission is completely free of charge including all activities in the children’s area.  Enjoy a concert by Gary Allan & Candy Coburn on July 3rd, and George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, J.J. This event has something for everyone! Start the day off with a 5K run along beautiful Waterfront Park. Then plan to spend the day catching the high speed action of the country's top cyclists as they race through the streets of downtown Louisville. Kids will love visiting the Health & Safety Fair featuring the LMPD helicopter, K9 units, robot, and much, much more -- including the inflatable playground! Grab some delicious food from Texas Roadhouse and Papa John's! Come spend the day with the men and women who protect our Louisville streets.

The Triple-A All-Star Game features the top players from Minor League Baseball’s top two circuits, the International League and the Pacific Coast League.  Major League stars that have played in past Triple-A All-Star Games include Chipper Jones, Mike Piazza, Pedro Martinez, Jim Thome, Derek Jeter, Justin Morneau and Adam Dunn.

Included in the All-Star Festivities will be three events:  Rally’s FanFest from July 13-15, Papa John’s Home Run Derby on July 14 and the Meijer Triple-A All-Star Game on July 16.

Forecastle is where the Midwest connects(TM). Founded in 2002, the annual gathering is equal parts Music, Art, and Activism. A symposium for musicians, artists, and environmentalists, Forecastle connects the progressive Midwest.

We will be hosting a sequence of concert groups and giveaways to promote drug-free awareness and a positive message of hope for families and youth. We will give away bikes, skateboards, food, toys and iPods.

Louisville’s most popular after work concert series.  For the seventh year, the Waterfront Development Corporation and the Louisville Public Media are working together to offer free concerts on the Harbor Lawn featuring national and local artists.  There is a cash bar and great upscale festival food.  Boat docking is on a first come first served basis.  Outside alcohol and glass are not permitted.  Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged.

WFPK Waterfront Wednesdays take place the last Wednesday of every month, April through September. (Remaining dates: August 27 and September 24.) The Harbor Lawn is located between the boat docks at the Great Lawn and the Children's Play Area. Parking is available along River Road, the Orange Lot, and surrounding pay lots. No outside alcohol, no glass, and please, no pets. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome and boat docking is available on a first come-first served basis.
