This celebratory walk around the Great Lawn attracts nearly 2000 people who are on the MOVE to end Alzheimer's disease. Participants can register online or by phone. Memory Walk is sponsored nationally by Genworth Financial. n Louisville, Kentucky. The Louisville Cornhole Cup is run by Kentuckiana Kids Foundation, a not-for-profit foundation 501(c)(3) which benefits children and young adults of Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
This year, all proceeds will go to benefit the STAR Program, an intervention program developed for children with autism spectrum disorders and their families.

A 1.5 km fundraiser/awareness walk focused on helping improve the quality of life for all persons affected by mental illness. NAMI isa volunteer grassroots organization with affiliates in every state. In Kentucky, there are 28 affiliates of which NAMI Louisville is one. NAMI affiliates across the nation sponsor walks to raise awareness of NAMI's mission of advocacy, education and support for families affected by mental illness. NAMI Louisville offers local Family-to-Family classes and Support Groups, and advocacy at the state and national levels. The U.S. Surgeon General has said that mental illness affects at least one in five Americans. Come join us in this walk to show your support for NAMI's mission.

The NKFK Kidney Walk is a non-competitive pledge walk that focuses on education and prevention of kidney and urinary tract diseases, and the need for increased awareness about organ donation. A one mile walk and memorial service to honor children that have died due to miscarriage, stillbirth or early infant death. From 1-3 pm, music, children's activities and refreshments will be available for all family and friends, regardless of hospital affiliation or how long ago the loss occurred. A short memorial service will begin after the walk and all children's names that have been pre-registered will be read.

Louisville’s most popular after work concert series. For the seventh year, the Waterfront Development Corporation and the Louisville Public Media are working together to offer free concerts on the Harbor Lawn featuring national and local artists. There is a cash bar and great upscale festival food. Boat docking is on a first come first served basis. Outside alcohol and glass are not permitted. Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged.

Waterfront Wednesday is presented by 91.9 WFPK and Waterfront Development Corporation with support from Friends of the Waterfront and our sponsors. June sponsors:Kentuckiana Toyota dealers, Goose Island, Louisville.com, and Beam Global Spirits and Wine.
WFPK Waterfront Wednesdays take place the last Wednesday of every month, April through September. The Harbor Lawn is located between the boat docks at the Great Lawn and the Children's Play Area. Parking is available along River Road, the Orange Lot, and surrounding pay lots. No outside alcohol, no glass, and please, no pets. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome and boat docking is available on a first come-first served basis.
