Kroger's  Fest-a-Ville on the Waterfront is the ULTIMATE ENTERTAINMENT EXPERIENCE.  Sponsored by Kroger, this party starts on theGreat Lawn on Thursday, April 23rd and runs through Derby Eve, Friday, May 1st.

Kroger's Kentucky Derby Fest-a-VilleIt promises to have something for everyone - and admission is just a Pegasus Pin.  Familiar Derby Festival events will be held at Kroger's Fest-a-Ville, including the U.S. Bank Great Balloon Glimmer, the Run for the Rose, American Founders Bank Derby Festival WineFest and the AT&T Volleyball Classic.

The venue will also be jam-packed with must-see concerts, a kids' play area, corn toss and bocce, bingo, plus activities like movie nights, bourbon country and a mascot party.  From the opening day ribbon-cutting to the final Derby Eve concert, Fest-a-Ville will be the downtown destination at Derby Festival time.

A benefit concert to raise awareness for women who are victims of sexual assault. Live bands, singers, speakers and personalities will perform. Merchandise and concessions will be sold. All proceeds will go to the Marie Lauterbach Women's Defense Fund, a non-profit source of support and advocacy.

The Michael Quinlan Brain Tumor Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping those persons who have been affected by brain tumors. Founded in 2001 in memory of Michael Quinlan, the foundation offers educational, emotional, financial and spiritual assistance. This walk is our largest fundraiser of the year. Your registration fee will get you a t-shirt, goodie bag and door prize ticket. Join us for face-painting, music, refreshments, and fun!

Drumming for Dollars Festival

Drumming for Dollars Festival is an annual fundraiser for the Rainbow Spiritual Education Center. It is a five hour non-stop drumming session. The public is invited to participate with their own drums or use one of ours. The money raised helps fund the center's educational programs and events. There will be vendors set up at the festival of various ethnic backgrounds with goods to sell. Sponsorship for drumming is required and donations are accepted at the event to drum. Contact the Rainbow Spiritual Education Center for more information.

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Great Strides Walk

Great Strides is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's annual nationwide walk that raises money to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis. Participants of all ages collect donations to help support vital CF research and care programs. Registration begins at 8:30am, and the walk begins at 9:30am with breakfastand activities at the Brown-Forman Amphitheater. There will be a DJ, food and fun for a good cause.

Louisville’s most popular after work concert series.  For the seventh year, the Waterfront Development Corporation and the Louisville Public Media are working together to offer free Meat Puppetsconcerts on the Harbor Lawn featuring national and local artists.  There is a cash bar and great upscale festival food.  Boat docking is on a first come first served basis.  Outside alcohol and glass are not permitted.  Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged.

WFPK Waterfront Wednesdays take place the fourth Wednesday of April and the last Wednesday of each month May through September. (Remaining dates: May 27, June 24, July 29, August 26, and September 30.) The Harbor Lawn is located between the boat docks at the Great Lawn and the Children's Play Area. Parking is available along River Road, the Orange Lot, and surrounding pay lots. No outside alcohol, no glass, and please, no pets. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome and boat docking is available on a first come-first served basis.
