Larosa LoopJewish Hospital and St. Mary's Foundation present the 6th Annual Larosa Loop Walk/Wheel/Cycle event at Waterfront Park.

Bicycle or Hand Cycle Ride - 10 and 25 miles; Walk - 1, 3, and 5 miles; Wheelchair - 1, 3 and 5 miles. The bicycle ride crosses the Clark Memorial Bridge and proceeds east along the waterfront in Jeffersonville to Utica, then returns to Waterfront Park. The ride is scenic and flat for beginning to advanced riders. The run, walk and wheel events will remain in the Waterfront Park area.

*Registration begins at 7am with an 8am start for the 25 mile cycle ride and 8am with a 9am start for all other events.

Remaining proceeds go directly to the NFRA.NET as a donation for fibromyalgia research. Over the RhineDue to flooding, the May 25th Waterfront Wednesday has been moved to the Big Four Lawn, adjacent to the Big Four Bridge.

2011 marks the ten year anniversary of Louisville’s most popular after work concert series!  Once again, the Waterfront Development Corporation and Louisville Public Media are working together to offer free concerts on the featuring national and local artists.  There is a cash bar and great upscale festival food.  Boat docking is on a first come first served basis.

The world's largest Beatles-inspired music festival, Abbey Road on the River (AROTR) will once again bring five days of peace, love and rock-n-roll to Louisville, Kentucky over Memorial Day Weekend, from May 26 to May 30 on the Belvedere & Galt House Hotel. This year marks the 10th anniversary of AROTR, which brings together more than 65 bands and thousands of fans from around the world to celebrate the music of the greatest rock band of all time - The Beatles.

The Beatles tribute bands represent more than seven countries including Germany, England, Scotland, Slovakia, Poland, Canada, and the USA. They will perform the entire discography of The Beatles, from 1963's "Please Please Me" through John, Paul, George and Ringo's final album together, 1970's Abbey Road. The festival will present special concerts dedicated to their solo careers, seminars, and a Beatles merchandise marketplace. This year will feature a full reenactment concert of the Grammy Award-winning soundtrack album LOVE, which was produced as a remix of over 130 Beatles songs for the Cirque Du Soleil show of the same name.

Volunteers will form the letters "USA" using 25,000 flags from Veterans' graves. When completed, the leFlags 4 Vetstters will each be 150 feet high and all three letters together will be 450 feet wide. These 25,000 flags honor all of America's Fallen Heroes, from every state in the Union, including Military, Law Enforcement, and Firefighters. This event will culminate with a Memorial Day observance presided over by His Honor Mayor Fischer and will follow in conjunction with the Mayor's Healthy Hometown Memorial Day Hike and Bike. The public is invited to assist with placing the flags to form the large "USA."
