The Anthem 5K is the first leg of the Louisville Triple Crown of Running. The race begins near Waterfront Park, runs along the Ohio River, then winds through historic Butchertown. The race finishes at Louisville Slugger stadium.

Admission: $25 before February 20; $40 on March 2; $55 on March 3 (day of race)

2012 represents the 32nd "running" of the Rodes City Run 10K, which is also the second "leg" of the Louisville Triple Crown of Running. The exciting 10k course is Flat, Fast and Fun, and, with a field of nearly 9,000, is ranked the 14th largest 10k in the nations (according to the 2010 USATF rankings). Proceeds from the Rodes City Run 10K, and the entire Triple Crown series, is contributed to local charities. The 2011 Louisville Triple Crown of Running donated over $160,000 to the WHAS Crusade for Children on behalf of its sponsors and participants.

Admission: $25 to enter the event (prior to 3/5/12). No admission charge to watch the event.

 


iMatter March

Be a part of the revolution!

Join iMatter, the global campaign to unite the youngest generation on the most urgent issue of our time: the climate crisis. We will meet at noon at Martin Luther King Jr. Park (6th and Chestnut) and march through downtown to the Brown-Forman Amphitheater. There, listen to the musicians and politicians who are doing their parts to help save our planet. Bring a white T-shirt to stencil, pack a picnic, sign a petition, and have a good time!

Musicians: Justin Lewis, Christian Johns, The Foxery, Andrea Davidson, Kri and Hettie, Blunt Honey, and Beady.

Speakers: Director of Sustainability Maria Koetter, Councilman Tom Owen, and Representative Jim Wayne.
