big four pedestrian & bicycle bridge

The Big Four Bridge is open! On February 7, 2013, the bridge was opened to the public for "non-through" traffic. The Indiana ramp is expected to be completed in early 2014.
The Louisville ramp is approximately 1/4 mile (1,181 ft.) and the bridge itself is approximately 1/2 mile (2,562) for a current distance of 3/4 mile (3,743 ft.) - 1.42 miles round trip, to be exact. The Jeffersonville ramp will also be approximately .5 mile; it should be complete in early 2014.
RULES OF THE BRIDGE
- No pets
- No skateboards/in-line skates
- No motorized vehicles (scooters, mopeds, motorcycles, cars/trucks)
- Service animals
- Bikes of all kinds
- Service vehicles (motorized wheelchairs, staff/security vehicles)
- Kids - fun!
- Dates - romance!
Bridge is open 24/7
Park hours: 6:00 am - 11:00 pm
